RIDING THROUGH “GUALIVÁ” TRAILS
The province of Gualivá is near to Bogotá, it makes part of the Colombian Andes and is located over the central range.
Gualivá is characterized by its majestic geography composed by mountains, rivers and creeks.
A place where you can feel the climate change on every horse step, we will pass from 700 to 3.000 masl.
It’s a historical route that was part of an ancient merchant trail that communicated Honda and Bogotá through stunning bridle paths.
DAY TO DAY
Day 1:
Transfer Bogotá - La Pradera
Cabalgata La Pradera - Alto del Vino.
On our first day we will ride through the ancient Yaky trail, starting from a cold weather “Tibares” trees Forrest and cold and clear creeks until we reach 3.0000 meters above sea level.
In the afternoon we will pass through “el alto del vino” that leads the way to the foggy Forrest.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
HORSES:
Horses used on our journey are Colombian Criollo working horses.
They are strong and good riding horses.
They are comfortable walking horses that respect and obey the rider.
We can see the strength of the horses while passing through bridle paths, plains and mountains.

¡A real adventurer and horse rider! Ernesto, since he was little decided the best way to know and travel his country was by horse. On 2009 he created and founded Valle Verde, the first company in Colombia specialized in Horseback Riding through the country. He is dedicated to transmit his passion to riders around the world.
Bernardo Salazar
He was born a horse, people and wildlife lover. He is a person that will be in charge of making every adventure unforgettable. Best and friendlier friend on the trip. He lives the dream traveling by horse and is a real expert in Colombian “Criollo” Horses.
